LAGAYAN, Abra May 18 – A 45-year old man was injured after he was stabbed by his own live-in partner during a heated altercation inside their residence at Poblacion, here, Wednesday.
Police authorities identified the injured individual as Raul Bangbang Parinas, 45, while the suspect was named as his live-in partner, Vilma Bugarin Layao, 46, both residents of Poblacion, Lagayan, Abra.
Initial police investigation showed the victim arrived home under the influence of liquor and started creating troubled.
He also tried to provoke the suspect by trying to hit her with a chair but she was able to elude the attack.
The heated altercation continued until such time that the suspect was able to grab a knife and stabbed her husband once on his body.
The victim was rushed by concerned residents to the Lagayan health center before he was transferred to the Abra Provincial Hospital for medical treatment while the suspect was arrested by responding police operatives and the weapon used was also confiscated from her.
