Partido Federal ng Pilipinas standard-bearer Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. would be a runaway winner in the presidential derby next year, based on the series of Kalye Survey conducted by different vloggers.
The Kalye Surveys, conducted from October 1 to 11, showed that Marcos is the preferred choice, over six other candidates, to be the country’s 17th president, with more than 60 percent of respondents saying that they will vote for him.
Aside from Marcos, their list of presidential aspirants included Leni Robredo, Manny Pacquiao, Panfilo Lacson, Isko Moreno, Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa and Sara Duterte.
Of the total 2,137 respondents, 1,307 expressed their preference for Marcos. Moreno came a far second, with 345; while Robredo placed third with 231. The results for the four others were: Pacquiao, 125; Lacson, 89; Bato, 23; and Sara, 17.
For the Kalye surveys, conducted in various areas in Metro Manila and Region IV-A (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon), people on the streets, buyers in small sari-sari stores or mini-groceries, and vendors in public markets, among others, were randomly asked who they will vote for president in the May 9, 2022 national and local elections.
The vloggers pointed out that while the said surveys veered away from the usual methods used in conducting surveys as the respondents were completely picked in random and may not serve as a real yardstick to predict the outcome of next year’s polls, they manifested the sentiment of the common people.
“Wala po tayong kinikilingan dito, wala kaming ini-endorso rito. Patas lang ito. Meron nga naiiyak na dahil gusto nila ‘yung manok nila ang lumamang. Pero neutral po tayo. Kung sino ang sabihin ng tao, ‘yun ang lalabas,” a vlogger assured.
