Metrobank Foundation Inc. (MBFI) in cooperation with DepEd-CAR oriented teachers from the Cordillera who are prospective nominees for the annual Search for Outstanding Filipino Teachers at SNC Hall, DepEd-CAR Regional Office on Feb. 5.
Fifty three teacher-participants were directed on the guidelines and processes of the said search. They gained knowledge on the proper documentation of accomplishments and packaging of documents.
Ms. Kristal Todcor, MBFI Secretariat, said that one of the issues encountered by the nominees was on the packaging of documents.
“There are many teachers who are exemplary public servants and agents of positive influence in our communities but were not properly acknowledged due to issues on proper documentation of accomplishments and packaging of documents,” she said.
Further, the steps on how to join the search were presented in a simplified manner and queries were answered during the open forum.
As per DepEd Order no. 003, s. 2018, the deadline for submission of accomplished and signed nomination form and complete supporting documents will be on March 1 and the awarding ceremony will be on September.
