City officials recently commended and congratulated Mr. Teejay Generosa, Mr. John Matthew Quedi and Mr. Rene Tupas, Jr. of Moog Controls Corporation Baguio for winning the Tower Award 2023: Outstanding workers of the Republic.
In a resolution authored by Councilor Vladimir Cayabas, local legislators stated that the local government proudly recognizes and commends the outstanding contribution of the employees from MOOG Controls corporation Baguio in their fields of specialization nationwide and for bringing pride and honor to the city.
Earlier, the Rotary Club of Manila, in partnership with the People Managers Association of the Philippines (PMAP) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), in celebration of its 29th anniversary conducted the Tower Awards 2023: The Outstanding Workers of the Republic.
Founded in 1975 by the Rotary Club of Manila, the Tower Awards program aims to recognize the contribution of workers’ morally, enhancing individual career opportunities and promoting industrial peace. It honors the nation’s most outstanding non-supervisory blue collar and white-collar workers.
Further, the Tower Award is conferred to employees for their exceptional and outstanding innovations which have significantly contributed to a department or to company’s overall efficiency, productivity and performance.
One of the nominees under the Team Category is the Project of K18 on Class C Parts Scrap Reduction for CE25734-001 and CE42408-001 by the Moog Controls Corporation Baguio.
The said project was spearheaded by Mr. Generosa, the Technical Lead of the Manufacturing Engineering, responsible for creating a new program for the said process; Mr. Quedi, the Process Quality Engineer, who ensured that the new process adhered to the requirements of quality, despite the changes in machine, process and steps; and Mr. Tupas, Jr. representing the machinists who contributed to the success of the project who oversaw the implementation of the changes and the program of the machines.
