City officials recently congratulated and commended the Baguio Herald Express for winning the Outstanding Community Weekly Newspaper and a Special Award on Best Photos and Stories on Health Exhibit under the Outstanding Stories on Health Innovation and Collaboration that was part of the 28th National Press Forum of the Philippine Press Institute (PPI) Community Awards held on April 25, 2024 at the Century Park Hotel in Manila.
In a resolution authored by Councilor Betty Lourdes F. Tabanda, local legislators stated that the city government is extremely proud of the honor and accolades received by the Baguio Herald Express and extends its sincere congratulations to the newspaper and its entire staff.
Earlier, the PPI in partnership with the Pharmaceutical and Health Care Association of the Philippines awarded the Baguio herald Express as the Outstanding Community Weekly Newspaper and the Special Award on Best Photos and Stories on Health Exhibit during the inaugural tagging of the Outstanding Stories on Health Innovation and Collaboration Award that was part of the 28th National Press Forum and the 60th anniversary of the national association of newspapers held on April 25, 2024 at the Century Park Hotel in Manila.
The PPI is the oldest organization of newspapers in the country that celebrated its 60th year of existence during the aforesaid recognition rites.
Herald Express is a news organization based in the city circulated in the different provinces in the Cordillera and some parts of Northern Luzon.
