City officials recently congratulated and commended Hanna Lacsamana of the Baguio Midland Courier for winning the Outstanding Community Journalist Award weekly category during the inaugural staging of the Outstanding Stories on Health Innovation and Collaboration Award which was part of the 28th National Press Forum held on April 25, 2024 at the Century Park Hotel in Manila.
In a resolution authored by Councilor Betty Lourdes F. Tabanda, local legislators stated that the city government is extremely proud for the honor received by Lacsamana and extends its sincere congratulations to her and her family and to the Baguio Midland Courier for the laurel added to the roster of awards garnered by the newspaper and its proficient staff.
Lacsamana was conferred the Outstanding Community Journalist Award weekly category under the inaugural staging of the Outstanding Stories on Health Innovation and Collaboration award spearheaded by the Philippine Press Institute (PPI) in partnership with the Pharmaceutical and Health Care Association of the Philippines during the 28th National Press Forum and the 60th anniversary of the national association of newspapers.
She is a staff of the Baguio Midland Courier which is circulating in the Cordillera and some parts of the Ilocos Region.
PPI is the oldest organization of newspapers in the country that celebrated its 60th year of existence during the aforesaid recognition rites.
Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to Lacsamana and the Baguio Midland Courier for information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action. By Dexter A. See
