CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – PROCOR operatives arrested 3 wanted persons in separate law enforcement operations yesterday in Kalinga and Ifugao.
In Kalinga, a suspect for Violence Against Women and their Children Act (RA 9262) identified as Peter P. Macalo was arrested in Liwan East, Rizal, Kalinga at around1:30 PM of May 10, 2020 by the joint personnel of Sagada Municipal Police Station (MPS), tracker team of Mountain Province Police Provincial Office (PPO), Rizal MPS of Kalinga PPO, intelligence unit from PROCOR, and CIDG Mountain Province. His Warrant of Arrest was issued by Judge Sergio T Angnganay Jr., RTC, Branch 35, Bontoc, Mountain Province. Macalo was listed No. 4 Top Most Wanted Person (TMWP) Provincial level in Mountain Province for the 2nd Quarter of CY 2020 for two cases of RA 9262 with recommended bail of P100,000.00 each case. Moreover, No. 10 Municipal Level Wanted person of Rizal MPS, Cagayan PPO identified as Arvi Jade Cartagena Tuno was arrested in Nambaran, Tabuk City, Kalinga at around 11: 40 AM of May 10, 2020 by the joint personnel from Kalinga PPO and Rizal MPS, Cagayan PPO by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge Efraim B. Calimuhayan of MCTC, Piat/Rizal Cagayan for a crime of Theft with a recommended bail of P10,000.00.
In Ifugao, a suspect for a crime of statutory rape and No. 5, Regional Level Wanted person of PRO 2 for 1st Quarter 2020 identified as Aljiver Ginaob Dulnuan was arrested in Barangay Hukbong, Lagawe, Ifugao at about 11:20 AM of May 10, 2020 by the joint personnel of Lagawe MPS and Regional Intelligence Unit-2 (RIU 2) by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Cicero B. Jandoc, RTC, Branch 29, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya with no bail recommended.
All arrested wanted persons were brought to the respective MPS for documentation prior turn-over to the issuing courts for their proper disposition.
Regional Director of PRO Cordillera PBGen R’win SA Pagkalinawan congratulated the police operatives for the arrest of these wanted persons, saying that PRO Cordillera will not rest amidst COVID19 threat, “our tracker teams will go after those wanted person to give justice to the victims”, he said.
