An out-of-school youth was killed when the motorcyle he was riding collided with a truck.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Tony Rickets Diyawyaw Bayawa, 15, single, and a resident at Sawmil Sadsadan, Bauko Mountain Province.
Investigation disclosed the victim was driving a Red Rusi Motorcycle and was heading towards Mount Data. Upon reaching a portion of the Halsema Highway particularly at Sawmil Mount Data, Bauko, the victim encroached the opposite lane and collided with a white Single Tire Elf Truck driven by Rogelio Bulon Sutil, 36, married, farmer and a resident of Bagtangan, Bakun, Benguet heading towards Bandilaan Mt. Data, Bauko Mountain Province.
As a result, the victim was declared dead on the spot due to “blunt head trauma” as proclaimed by the attending physician.
Both vehicles involved incurred multiple damages of still undetermined cost.
The victim did not possess a Driver’s License at the time of incident.
His body was brought was brought to their residence while the driver of the Elf Truck voluntarily surrendered to the responding PNP personnel of Bauko MPS and MPPMFC based at Sinto Bauko Mountain Province.
The vehicles were temporarily impounded at Sinto, Community Police Assistance Center. Documents are being prepared for filling of appropriate case against the truck driver.
