RIZAL, Kalinga – four employees of a palay trader were divested of over P600,000 in cash and personal valuables after they were held up at Romudldez, here, Sunday.
Senior Superintendent Brent Majaco, provincial director of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office, identified the victims of the robbery holdup incident as Lloyd Magistrado Torres, 35, married, laborer; Roberto Bombarda Mendoza, 35, married, driver; Naynier Gascon Baculo, 24, married, and Romeo Lising De Guzman, 23, married, and all resident of Poblacion General Mamerto Natividad, Nueva Ecija.
Initial police investigation showed the victims were on board the 10-wheeler truck of their company when their vehicle was flagged down by the suspects who immediately pointed their short firearms to them and announced the heist.
Taken from the victims were the P609,000 cash which was supposed to be used by them to purchase palay, some P7,000 in cash that wre the personal money of the victims, various mobile phones and other personal belongings.
The suspects allegedly fled towards Tuguegarao City, Cagayan after divesting the victims of their cash and personal belongings and they are now the subject of a manhunt operation by the responding police operatives.
