LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – Provincial Government of Pangasinan officials and executives underwent a lecture on personal security awareness and safety on May 30 at the Capitol Resort Hotel, here.
Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim, Jr. said the lecture administered by the Philippine National Police (PNP) Pangasinan seeks to amplify information on security awareness among key officials and chiefs in the provincial government.
“We are promoting awareness on personal security and safety,” said Acting Governor Calimlim, who pointed out the need for provincial officials to be cautious when dealing with people.
In administering the lecture, PNP Provincial Director Ronald O. Lee urged provincial officials to immediately inform police authorities when they encounter suspicious-looking people or peculiar instances which may signal life-threatening situations.
Likewise, Lee advised the public to become more responsible in managing their social media accounts, particularly by lessening or totally avoiding the posting of their whereabouts or actual goings on.
Aside from revealing the modus operandi activities of gangs or sindicates in exploiting people, the PNP also shared to provincial officials the incidents they handle or encounter which include text and online scam, robbery, and kidnapping.

Also present during the said lecture were Provincial Administrator Nimrod S. Camba and Provincial Board Member Jeanne Jinky Zaplan.
