The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the country’s largest business organization, will confer Outstanding Young Entrepreneur Awards to young entrepreneurs in North Luzon, South Luzon, National Capital Region, Visayas and Mindanao who founded their own business and achieved significant success with their unique marketing approach or products or services.
Through this column, yours truly is calling every young accomplished entrepreneur and other enterprising sector to join the said nomination to vie for the said event.
There are two categories: Young Entrepreneur in the area (North Luzon, South Luzon, National Capital Region, Visayas and Mindanao); and Young Entrepreneur in the Philippines (to be selected from the area awardees).
Those who can nominate are national and local-member companies of the chamber, other business organizations, industry and trade association, civic organizations, and entrepreneurs themselves. This year’s chairman is Apolinar Aure, chairman of the PCCI small and medium enterprises committee. The deadline for nominations for the PCCI Outstanding Young Entrepreneur Awards is on September 15, 2015.
Awarding will be during the Philippine Business Conference on October 26 and 27, 2015, at the Mariott Hotel.
A nominee must be a Filipino, 40 years old or younger, the founder, owner, shareholder or a management member of a Philippine-registered enterprise operating for a minimum of two years or for the period January 1, 2013 – December 31, 2014.
Awards criteria are innovation and creativity, business acumen, vision and leadership qualities, job generation, integrity and influence, and community involvement.
