BAGUIO CITY – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Cordillera together with local police stepped up its anti-drug campaign last night that led to the arrest of four drug personalities.
First to fall in a buy-bust operation at Purok 2, Pinsao Pilot, Baguio City were two members of a local drug group together with their female cohort.
20-year old Akiya Lugarez Velasco alias Aki and 24-year old Christ John Marisga Quitoriano alias Katiting, both residents of the same barangay and watch-listed members of a local drug group, were arrested together with Kimberly Dalusong Felix alias Kim when they sold a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, with a street value of P17,000.00, to a PDEA-CAR undercover agent.
The buy-bust money was confiscated from the suspects upon their arrest.
After a few hours, an Indian national fell in a sting operation at Padre Zamora, Baguio City.
Kumar Lakhvir, a resident of San Luis, Baguio City was arrested for selling two heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu to an anti-narcotics poseur-buyer. The suspect yielded the buy-bust money and a mobile phone upon his apprehension.
The suspects are now detained at the Baguio City Jail and will be charged with violation of Republic Act Number 9165, otherwise known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
