BONTOC, Mountain Province – People in Mountain Province and from nearby provinces availed of the services of the Professional Regulations Commission – Cordillera Administrative Region (PRC-CAR) and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-CAR on September 15, 2022, at the Bontoc Municipal Capitol Auditorium.
The PRC Mobile Outreach Services cum “Aldaw ti Propesyonal” and the NBI Clearance on Wheels are part of the activities lined up in celebration of the 114th Bontoc Founding Anniversary and 18th Am-among Festival.
The PRC team, led by Supervising Professional Regulations Officer Charito Marquez rendered their services to 350 clients for renewal of Professional Identification Card, orientation on the Continuing Professional Development Law, Initial Registration for Licensure Examination Passers, Certification and Authentication of PRC documents; Petitions for Change of Name and Correction of Entries, Application for licensure examinations, and Release of Professional ID Cards and Certificate of Registration.
Meanwhile, the NBI- CAR team headed by Regional Director Janet Francisco catered to 114 clients for the issuance of their NBI Clearances.
Bontoc Mayor Jerome “Chagsen” Tudlong, Jr., expressed his gratitude to the PRC and NBI for promptly responding to his request for the two agencies to bring government’s services closer to the community.
The mayor believes that the said activities allow people who do not have enough time due to the nature of their job to renew and process their documents.
The mayor added these are of great help to the clients, as it lessens their financial burden and time traveling to Baguio City to process their documents.
With this, he expressed high hopes that this will be a continuing activity of the PRC and NBI in partnership with the Bontoc Local Government Unit.
The PRC and NBI teams were assisted by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and the Office of the Municipal Mayor. The PRC team rendered their services until 9:30 in the evening to be able to accommodate all the clients.
