A Joint team of Baguio City Police Office Traffic Management Branch and the Land Transportation Office nabbed a driver of a private vehicle transporting passenger going to Pangasinan and Metro Manila.
In an entrapment operation last July 27, 2020, around eight o’clock in the evening, the joint elements flagged down a 2017 model Innova being driven by a lady.
During the interrogation, two passengers aboard the vehicle admitted they paid an amount of PhP. 2,500 while the other one paid PhP. 1,500 to the driver.
The passengers were asked to present their health declaration, rapid test result or swab test for their travel however, they failed to show any of these.

The lady driver also failed to present her driver’s license and special permit from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board or the city government of Baguio and the BCPO.
Involved vehicle is now impounded at the LTO impounding area, the lady driver was issued a ticket for colorum operation violation. A PhP 200,000 fine is to be imposed to the owner of the vehicle and PhP 3,000 for the driver for driving without license.
Meanwhile LTO-CAR Director Francis Ray A. Almora said that the Inter Agency Task Force has not lifted the suspension of inter-region operation of public utility vehicle because of the COVID pandemic.
He warned private vehicles who obtain travel passes not to violate the condition set by the IATF as the travel pass is good for single use only but there are reports that some are using the pass to transport passenger going to different provinces.
Since the imposition of travel ban and suspension of inter-region operation more than 30 vehicle were apprehended, impounded and charged with colorum operation violation.
