LINGAYEN, Pangasinan February 04 – The Pangasinan provincial board headed by Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim, Jr. on its regular session recently unanimously confirmed the appointment of Atty. Nimrod S. Camba as the provincial administrator.
The 41-year-old young lawyer who earlier served as Executive Assistant to Governor Amado I. Espino III, said he has “big shoes to fill” knowing that he is taking the position of former provincial administrator Rafael Howard F. Baraan who is known for his managerial and administrative skills and the alter-ego of the former governor now 5th district representative Amado T. Espino, Jr.
Camba, whose father is from Bolinao town while his maternal hometown is Binmaley town, bared when he was asked by several members of the board, that it was Gov. Espino’s “full trust and confidence” in him which paved the way for his appointment as provincial administrator.
Thanking the governor for the opportunity given to him, the new provincial administrator said he will serve as a bridge that will connect all department heads among themselves and with the office of the Governor, and he will be the bridge between the executive to the legislative branches of Provincial Government. He said that the bridge will also serve as well as path that will connect the Capitol to the rest of the province.
Expressing his desire to give his best shot so as to live up to the trust and confidence accorded to him, Camba said he fully embrace the responsibility of being the new provincial administrator.
Camba, who is a practicing lawyer for 15 years, first served the government as a legal counsel for the National Liga ng mga Barangay.
His involvement in Pangasinan, however, started when he was tapped by then Pangasinan Liga ng Barangay president Amadeo T. Espino as legal consultant of the federation in 2009.
A consistent top student of his class from elementary to college, Camba was 1st honor at the Dulag Elementary School, 1st honorable mention at the Binmaley Catholic School, and Cum Laude at St. Louis University (SLU) where he earned his pre-law with the degree of AB Political Science in 1996. After this, he proceeded for graduate studies at San Beda College capping a degree of Bachelor of Laws in 2001.
Born on June 10, 1975, Camba is married to the former Paula Sharon Bahala, a dentist by profession. They were blessed with four children.
