La Trinidad, Benguet – The Feast of Saint Joseph was celebrated by the San Jose, Husband of Mary Parish (SJHM) partly by conducting a Basketball Invitational Exhibition games at the San Jose Gym, Poblacion, here, last March 20, 2017.
A total of four games and eight different invitees from La Trinidad and Baguio were organized by coordinator Roderick V. Pacuyan and Rev. Fr. Paulino Sarac, SJHM Parish Priest.
All eight teams responded with cardiac games.
The Sacred Heart Community edged out the San Jose Faculty, 73-71, in the first game.
New Hope and CHARM followed it by a 75-68 victory over the La Trinidad Municpal Police Station. The final score may seem large for a squeaker but this game was actually anybody’s ballgame until the final minutes of the game when LTMPS was forced to sent New Hope to the line to stop the clock. The score was 72-68 with under a minute to go.
The La Trinidad Knights of Columbus then hacked out a 87-86 win over the La Trinidad Community while The Clergy of the Diocese of Baguio edged out the Provincial Legal Office and the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office, 87-85.
