LUNA, Apayao – The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration-Cordillera Administrative Region (OWWA-CAR) announced through its social media account last August 14 that the application period for the OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP) has been extended until August 25, 2023.
Apayao got the greatest number of scholarship slots available – 15 are open for eligible first year college students and another 15 for those in second year through fifth year.
OWWA said that for first year students, there are 13 available slots for each of the provinces of Abra, Baguio-Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, and Mt. Province, and 12 each for second year through fifth year.
ODSP is a scholarship program that provides P20,000 in financial aid per academic year to an eligible dependent of an active overseas Filipino worker who earns a monthly salary of no more than $600 USD. The dependent must enroll or is currently enrolled in or has previously been enrolled in any four-year or five-year baccalaureate course or associate course at any college or university.
