The Securities and Exchange Commission – Baguio Extension Office (SEC – BEO) continues to conduct a series of webinars for corporations on the enrollment and submission of annual reports through the Electronic Filing and Submission Tool (eFAST).
In accordance with the government’s mandates on digital transformation, digitization, and zero face-to-face transactions, SEC has launched the SEC eFAST in 2021 allowing the submission of SEC reports online. In the same year, all stock corporations were required to enroll and submit their SEC reports via the eFAST.
Meanwhile, it was just last April 1, 2022 when non-stock corporations were mandated to do the same; hence, in partnership with various government agencies, private institutions, and the academe, a webinar series was spearheaded by SEC – BEO on the step-by-step procedure of enrollment to the EFAST.
The eFAST is a web-based submission system for SEC-registered corporation’s reportorial requirements such as the Annual Financial Statements, General Information Sheets, Appointment of Officers for OPC, Sworn Statement for Foundations, General Form for Financial Statements, and Special Form for Financial Statements. Submissions of Affidavits of Non-Operation, Affidavit of Non-Holding of Annual Meeting, are now also accepted through the eFAST.
As of this writing, the SEC-BEO already conducted six (6) webinars on the topic and is set to conduct more in the upcoming months, just in time for the submission of Financial Statements for the fiscal year 2021, under a scheduled coding system.
The webinar series is part of the Communication, Advocacy, and Network (CAN) initiative to increase the knowledge and awareness level of SEC stakeholders on programs, services and initiatives of the Commission.
