Nito lamang Biyernes ay ipinagdiwang ng Social Security System (SSS) ang ika-66 na anibersayo nito. Bilang isang institusyon ng pamahalaang nagbibigay ng social security protection sa nakalipas na higit anim na dekada, hindi lamang mga manggagawa sa pribadong sektor ang nakatamasa nito. Maging mga Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), Non-Working Spouse, Voluntary Members at mga Self-Employed mula sa professional at informal sector ay nakatatanggap ng benepisyo at pribilehiyo mula sa SSS. Maliban dito, mas pinaganda at mas pinalawak pa ang serbisyo ng SSS upang mas maramdaman ito ng higit 42 milyong miyembro at higit tatlong milyong pensyonado. 

Nakasentro ang SSS 66th Anniversary theme na “Serbisyong Mapagkakatiwalaan, Proteksyong Maaasahan,” sa mga priority programs sa pamumuno ni SSS President and CEO Rolando Ledesma Macasaet upang maramdaman ang serbisyong nag-uugat sa masaya at buong pusong pagtulong ng bawat kawani. Ilan lamang sa mga ito ay ang SSS e-wheels, E-Center sa Barangay, Digital Branches at KaSSSangga Collect Program. 

Inilunsad noong February 2023 ang “SSS eWheels,” isang mobile service program na maglalapit ng serbisyo sa mga miyembrong nakatira sa mga malalayong komunidad. Iniikot ng SSS eWheels ang mga barangay sa buong bansa bitbit ang teknolohiyang magagamit ng mga miyembro sa kanilang SSS online transactions. Tinuturuan at ginagabayan ng mga empleyado ng SSS ang mga miyembro at pensyonado sa paggamit ng SSS Website, My.SSS Portal, USSSap tayo Portal at SSS Mobile App. Sa nakalipas ng apat na buwan mula nung February 2023, umabot na sa 280,811 indibidwal mula sa 3,832 barangay sa buong bansa ang naserbisyohan ng SSS eWheels.

Batid ng SSS na hindi lahat ng miyembro at pensyonado ay may internet sa bahay o gadget na kailangan nilang gamitin para magsagawa ng online transactions sa SSS. Kailangan pa nilang maglaan ng oras at pamasahe para bumiyahe sa bayan at i-access ang E-Center sa SSS branch. Kaya naman nakipagkasundo ang SSS sa mga Local Government Units (LGUs) para magkaroon ng SSS E-Center sa mga barangay. Maaaring gamitin ng mga ka-barangay ang computer sets para magsagawa ng SSS online transaction habang ginagabayan sila ng barangay personnel na sumailalim sa SSS training. Dahil may mas malapit at ligtas na lugar na maaaring makipagtransaksyon ang ating SSS members at pensioners, matutunan na nila unti-unti ang paggamit ng SSS online facilities. Nitong Hunyo, may 1,024 E-Centers sa Barangay na at umabot na sa 63,375 constituents ang nakinabang dito. Sa ngayon ay patuloy pa rin ang pakikipag-ugnayan ng SSS sa mga interesadong barangay o LGUs na nais maglagay ng kanilang SSS E-Center sa kanilang lugar. 

Ang mga Job Order (JO) at Contract of Service (COS) workers na nagta-trabaho sa mga ahensiya ng gobyerno ang target ng KaSSSanga Collect Program (KCP). Dahil hindi sila sakop ng Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) benefits, minabuting makipag-ugnayan ng SSS sa iba’t-ibang ahensya ng gobyerno, LGUs at State-Colleges and Universities (SCUs) para i-rehistro ang kanilang JOs and COS workers bilang Self-Employed members ng SSS. Ikakaltas ng employer ang SSS contribution sa kanilang sahod at ireremit ito sa SSS. Sa tulong ng programang ito, makukuha ng JOs at COS workers ang contribution requirement para makakuha ng iba’t-ibang Social Security (SS) at Employees Compensation (EC) benefits, pati na rin loans. Sa ngayon, nasa 395,000 JOs and COS workers mula sa 2,575 participating partners ang makikinabang sa ilalim ng KCP.

Isa rin sa prayoridad ng SSS na gawing Digital Branch ang lahat ng mga sangay nito sa buong bansa. Magdadagdag ng computers at self-service portals para sa mas mabilis, mas maginhawa at mas ligtas na transaksyon ang bawat kliyente ng SSS. Sa katunayan, may tatlong sections sa loob ng Digital branch – ang E-Center kung saan available ang computers na maaaring gamitin para magtransact online sa SSS Website o My.SSS Portal; ang Mobile App Learning Center (MALC) na kung saan tuturuan ang mga miyembro at employer na maginstall at gamitin ang SSS Mobile App; at Customer Care Center para tumanggap ng over-the-counter transactions bilang requirement ng SSS at asikasuhin ang iba pang concerns tungkol sa SSS online channels. Nito lamang Agosto ay ginawa ng Digital Branch ang SSS La Union. Ang lahat ng mga miyembro at pensyonado na bumibisita rito ay tinuturuan nang gumamit ng online facilities para masiguro na tama ang kanilang ginagawa. Sa katunayan, may 122 SSS Digital Branches na sa buong bansa. 

Sa nagdaang 66 taon, patuloy na nagbibigay ang SSS ng walang patid na serbisyong mapagkakatiwalaan at proteksyong maaasahan. Sisiguraduhin ng SSS na mas pagbubutihin pa ang serbisyo at pagagandahin ang mga programa para mas maraming Pilipino pa ang makinabang sa mga susunod na taon.
