TABUK CITY, Kalinga – During a special session on Dec. 28, 2023, the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) approved the PhP60,485,352.89 supplemental budget to grant bonuses and incentives to employees and officials of the city government in recognition of their good performance and to serve as further motivation to work harder for the coming year.
According to Councilor Castor Cayaba, chair of the SP Committee on Finance and Appropriation, the supplemental budget covers the Service Recognition Incentives or SRI and the Collective Negotiation Agreement or CNA Incentive for fiscal year 2023 for eligible employees.
Additionally, the budget includes the grant of gratuity pay to contractual and job order workers and the Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) or top-up bonus for fiscal year 2022 for eligible regular employees that is equivalent to 65 percent of the employee’s monthly basic salary.
Acting City Mayor Dick Bal-o congratulated the SP for their swift approval of the measure.
“Congratulations ti panang-approve yu dituy. Sigurado nga adu ti maragsakan nga empleyado,” he said.
Aside from the supplemental budget, the SP approved the passage of a PhP7.5 million supplemental budget to augment funds for wages and other appropriations under the Mayor’s Office, and the resolution to approve the 2023-2032 Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
The council also approved the updated Contract of Service of job order employees and the committee report of Civil Service, Human Resource and Labor chairperson Eduardo Sacayle regarding the recognition of the Tabuk District Jail for their achievements in 2023.
