“Long queues in SSS Baguio would cause office congestion which may contribute to possible COVID-19 transmission. That is why we are informing everybody that alternative payment channels are readily accessible so that our members can safely and conveniently transact with us. We would also like to clarify that these facilities and online channels are accredited by SSS to accept contribution and loan payments of members and employers. Their payments will be posted real-time as we are implementing the Real-Time Processing of Contributions and Loan payments using the Payment Reference Number,” said SSS Baguio Branch Head Nancy Umoso.
It is important, however, that members and employers should generate their Payment Reference Numbers (PRNs) first through My.SSS account, SSS Mobile App, Text-SSS or via an e-mail request to prnhelpline@sss.gov.ph to proceed with their payment transaction.
To generate PRN using the My.SSS account, click “Payment Reference Number-Contribution” or “Payment Reference Number-Loans” and supply the needed information like covered months and amount to pay. Click the “Generate” box to display the Statement of Account. The member may print or take note of the PRN as indicated in the Statement of Account (SOA) and present this to the payment center together with the duly accomplished payment form.
To generate PRN through the SSS Mobile App, select “Generate PRN” button in the lower portion of the dashboard. If a member wishes to use the Text-SSS to generate his or her PRN, send SSS PRN <space> PIN <space> Birthday mm/dd/yyyy to 2600. To get the PIN, send SSSREG <space> SS Number <space> Birthday mm/dd/yyyy to 2600. Members can also get their PRN by sending an email request which contains your full name, birthday, SS number and months and amount you will pay at prnhelpline@sss.gov.ph.
Umoso also reminds transacting members and employers to follow the number coding scheme in SSS Baguio. For those members whose 10th digit of their Social Security (SS) number ends in 1 and 2 are only allowed to transact every Monday, 3 and 4 every Tuesday, 5 and 6 every Wednesday, 7 and 8 every Thursday and 9 and 0 every Friday.
“We would like to request our members and employers to take note and follow our branch servicing guidelines to avoid future inconvenience. We know that some of our members travel as far as Tuba or Sablan that’s why we wanted to make sure that our members will not leave our branch premises empty-handed and they will be accommodated by our frontliners. The branch coding is part of our safety measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among transacting clients and branch personnel,” Umoso concluded.
For any SSS concerns, members are encouraged to email SSS Baguio at baguio@sss.gov.ph or call their hotline numbers: (074) 444-2929, 619-0848 or 0956-412-9047 Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm except holidays.
