Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet – A suspected drug pusher was arrested in the afternoon of January 24, 2018 after selling illegal drugs to the undercover agents of Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) who acted as buyers in a buy bust operation in Baguio City.
Clint Encarnacion, 30 was placed under arrest for selling five sachets of dried marijuana leaves weighing 208 grams and worth Php5,000.00 to the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) agents of BCPO at Government Center, Military Cut Off, Baguio City.
Police Chief Superintendent Rolando Nana said that the arrested person is a newly identified drug pusher and user suspect and not listed in the drug watch list of Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR).
Accordingly, when the transaction was successfully done, other operatives of the City Intelligence Unit (CIU) and BCPO Police Station 5 entered into the place of operation and apprehended Encarnacion. The police also conducted body search to the suspect and discovered in his possession five plastic sachets and a tin can all containing marijuana leaves weighing 63 grams.
Onsite inventory was conducted in the presence of a prosecutor, barangay official, representative from the media and the suspect.
Encarnacion was brought to the Crime Laboratory Office of PROCOR for drug test which gave positive results to the test for the presence of marijuana.
CSupt Nana commended the anti-illegal drugs operatives for non-stop operations. He also said that the police are continuously expanding their sources of information and strengthening intelligence gathering in order to identify other illegal drugs operators in the region. (PROCOR-RPIO)
