SAGADA, Mountain Province – A 25-year old local tourist was injured after he slipped and accidentally fell in the flagpole area of the Sumaging cave at Ambasing, here, Sunday morning.
Senior Superintendent Cornelio Comila, officer-in-charge of the Mountain Province Police Office, identified the victim as Joshua Blanco Del Remedios, 25, single, technical supervisor of Convergence company at Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila, and a resident of San Mathew, Rizal.
Initial police investigation showed the victim, together with two companions, were accompanied by several tour guides inside the Sumaging cave when he suddenly slipped and fell from the flagpole area.
The victim was immediately rushed by concerned tour guides to the St. Theodore’s Hospital where he was provided with the appropriate medical treatment of the injuries he sustained as a result of the alleged accidental fall.
The victim was subsequently declared out of danger after being accorded such medical treatment.
