LAMUT, Ifiugao – A security guard wanted for murder charges who went on hiding for nineteen years was successfully arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents following intensive manhunt operations at barangay Poblacion West, here, recently.
Police authorities described the arrested wanted person as a 42-year old male, security guard and a resident of barangay La Fortuna, Impasug-ong, Bukidnon and listed as one of the most wanted persons in the national level with a still undetermined reward pursuant to existing laws, rules and regulations.
The suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Romeo U. Habbiling of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 14 in Lagawe which was issued on August 14, 2013 for murder.
Further, the wanted person committed the crime on March 9, 2005 in Lamut where he allegedly shot a still unidentified victim that caused the latter’s death.
The arrested person was immediately turned over to the Ifugao district jail located at Tiger Hill, Baguingey, Kiangan, Ifugao for proper disposition after the necessary documentation. By Dexter A. See
