SABLAN, Benguet – Locals here are grateful for another waterworks project funded and implemented by the provincial government in support of the community’s basic needs.
Local officials of Poblacion recognized the aid from the provincial government headed by Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas through the said project as it contributes to the attainment of the barangay local government’s aim at providing safe water to over 50 households in the community.
One of the key concerns in the locality is the scant supply of water, especially with the increasing population according to the barangay officials thus the project was included in their list of priority projects.
Governor Diclas said the provincial government allocated P2 million for the project in response to the problems being experienced by the people there.
One of the beneficiaries of the project recounted his experience fetching water and spending money for water delivery especially during summer, but now with the additional source of water, he is now confident for a regular water supply.
The community extended their gratitude to Governor Diclas for heeding their concerns through the approval of the project.
