Organizers of the recently concluded Philex Golf for a Cause bared the winners in the various categories of the one day tournament that was held at the Pinewoods Golf and Country Club last November 14, 2023.
Eric Yalunggoet the overall lowest gross with 82 while Henry Rosito came in with the overall lowest net with 38 and a gross of 82.
Harvey Cobankiat emerged as the champion in the Men’s regular Class A followed by Deo Chan who placed first runner up and Ronald Daganos who placed third.
In the Men’s regular Class B, William Vallo emerged as the champion followed by Eduardo Aratas and Cory Ozman, who placed second and third, respectively.
Mark Subido won in the Men’s regular Class C followed by Jan Michael Cerdenia who placed second and John Aguila who landed in third.
In the Men’s senior Class A, Philex president and chief executive officer emerged as the champion followed by second placer Roldan Willy and third placer Carlo Carpio.
Mariano Ang bested the contenders in the Men’s senior Class B while Manny Agcaoili settled for second and Roland Nilas bagged third place.
The champion for Men’s senior Class C was Santiago Bugnosen followed by Ferdie Dimapisip who placed second and Ronald Aruejo who placed third.
In the Ladies category, Susana Ante emerged victorious followed by Isabel Marie Oostizen who placed second and Marge Datuin who placed third.
Aris Datuin came home with the Longest Drive while Luke Bowden got the Longest Drive recognition.
The Nearest to the Pin award was given to Quin Dahilan and the Golf Course Inspector went to Christian Nabato.
The 8th edition of the Philex Golf for a Cause was aimed at raising resources to sustain the implementation of its mining engineering scholarship program to allow the youth from the mine site to take the said course because of the enormous demand for mining professionals triggered by the robust mining industry worldwide.
