Last year, members of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) moto club had a chance to play with the Benguet selection right at the FIBA standard basketball court in the complex and they were amazed at how the facility was designed and built that is suitable for future local, regional, national or even international competitions.

According to him, by providing sports enthusiasts with the appropriate facilities, the youth will surely be spared from being involved in illegal activities such as the use of prohibited drugs as they will now have the chance to show their talents in various sports disciplines using the facilities.
He stipulated that the construction of bleachers around the rubberized track oval had been prioritized to allow spectators to watch homegrown talents compete in track and field events.
Earlier, Yap worked out the provision of multi-million funds to support the construction of the rubberized oval with bleachers, the closed basketball gymnasium and the enclosed Olympic-size swimming pool to complete the world class facilities of the Benguet Sports Complex over the past two years to allow Benguet host future sports competitions.
He assured the people and officialdom of Benguet he will continue to do his best to work out the implementation of priority development projects that will sustain the province’s growth and development and to achieve the goal of converting the province into a first class local government considering the enormous development that it has undergone through the years.
