SAN ISIDRO, Abra March 22 – A 17-year old teenager died while his fellow student who was his back rider was injured after their motorcycle accidentally crashed in a stony portion of the provincial road at Nagkawangan, here, Tuesday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Jemar Bajo Taculao, 17, single while his injured companion was named as Wilmar Borlas Bidaya, 17, both residents of Barangay Manayday, San Isidro, Abra and a student of San Isidro National High school.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and his companions had a drinking session in a nearby barangay and decided to go home when it was already getting late in the night.
Upon reaching the place of incident, their motorcycle accidentally crashed on the stony portion of the shoulder of the road that caused them to sustain multiple head and body injuries.
The two occupants of the motorcycle were rushed to the Abra Provincial Hospital for medical treatment but the driver was declared dead on arrival while his companion is still in critical condition.
