ALAMINOS CITY, Pangasinan March 22 – A 26-year old fish vendor died while four others were injured after his motorcycle was bmped by an elf truck along the national highway at San Vicente, here, Monday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Jimmy Camba Ragel, 26, married, fish vendor while his injured back rider was named as Renzo Flores Banting, single, both residents of barangay Cabatuan, Alaminos City, Pangasinan and the two wounded bystanders were also named as Mark Jomar Rapues Billones, 22, single and Benjie Rapues Billones, 10, and both residents of San Vicente, Alaminos City, Pangasinan.
Initial police investigation showed the victim and his backrider were traversing the national highway when they were bumped by an elf truck from behind that caused him to lose control of the handle bar until the motorcycle hit the bystanders.
The occupants of the motorcycle and the bystanders were rushed to the Western Pangasinan District Hospital for medical treatment but the motorcycle driver was declared dead on arrival while his back rider and the bystanders were admitted for further medical treatment.
The driver of the elf truck is now the subject of a manhunt operation by responding police operatives after he allegedly fled towards an undisclosed direction.
