PRO Cordillera cops have arrested 13 wanted personalities, while 65 municipalities in the region recorded zero crime incidents in a weeklong implementation of manhunt operations from November 26 to December 2, 2023.
Based on the records from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division, the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) recorded the highest number of arrests with six wanted persons, followed by the Baguio City Police Office with three arrests, the Abra PPO with two arrests, the Ifugao PPO and the Mountain Province PPO with one arrest each. Of these arrests, five individuals listed as MWP are the most wanted personalities at the Municipal Level.
Meanwhile, as a result of the intensified police presence, 65 municipalities in the different provinces of the region, including three police stations in Baguio City, remain peaceful, as PRO Cordillera recorded zero crime incidents in these areas during the same week.
Zero crime incidents were recorded in the 25 municipalities in Abra; nine municipalities in Benguet; five municipalities in Kalinga; nine municipalities in Ifugao; seven municipalities in Apayao; and 10 municipalities in Mountain Province.
Further, in Baguio City, Camdas Police Station (PS 2), Aurora Hill PS 6, and Kennon PS 8 also recorded zero crime incidents out of the 10 police stations in the city. (PRO CORDILLERA-PIO)
