BUCAY, Abra – Two farmers were injured after they were involved in an altercation that ended up in a stabbing incident at Layugan here Thursday.
Senior Superintendent Antononio Bartolome, provicnail director of the Abra Provincial Police Office, identified the two injured individuals as Mr.Juanito Almienda Gacote, 56, married, farmer and Bonifacio Batoon Claor, 55, married, farmer and a Barangay Tanod, both residents of said place.
Initial police investigation showed Gacote was seen shouting in front of the residence of barangay kagawad Marites Gacote when Claor went out to pacify him.
At this juncture, Gacote allegedly struck Calor with a wood on his head that prompted the latter to stab the former in his abdomen.
Both individuals who sustained injuries were rushed to a local hospital and were declared out of danger by health authorities while the cases against each other are being readied for fling.
