KAPANGAN, Benguet July 07 – Two vegetable farmers died after they were fired upon by still unidentified gun-wielding suspects along the Gov. Bado Dangwa road, particularly at sitio Nalbengan, barangay Cuba, here, early Wednesday morning.
Police Col. Reynaldo Pasiwen, provincial director of the Benguet Provincial Police Office, disclosed that the victims were on board an Isuzu elf truck marked with markings of “Kibungan Vegetable dealer” with plate number a WMA-413.
However, the identities of the victims are still being established while the suspects are now the subject of a manhunt operation by responding police operatives.
The police are also conducting investigation on the incident and the possible identification of the suspects.
Local officials and residents raised concern over the latest shooting incident in the area as it is the first time that motorists were murdered in what was once a peaceful community where people can travel without fear of being harmed by fellow motorists. By Dexter A. See
