LA TRINIDAD, Benguet June 02 – Two teenagers were injured after they were allegedly stabbed by a knife-wielding suspect in front of a bakery at Buyagan, here, Thursday dawn.
Chief Inspector Benson Macliing, chief of the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station, identified the victims as as Izern Javier Laroco, 18, years old, single, baker, a native and resident at Western Buyagan, Poblacion La Trinidad, Benguet and minor while he named the suspect as Beljimar Botic Nabus, 18, unemployed, native and resident of Puguis, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Initial police investigation showed the victims and two other companions were walking in front of a bakery when they met the suspect and his companions.
At this juncture, one of the companion of the victims reportedly confronted the suspect for their old personal grudge that escalated into an altercation.
The suspect allegedly pulled out a knife and suddenly stabbed the victims several times before fleeing towards an undisclosed direction.
The victims are now confined at the Benguet General Hospital for further observation of the injuries they sustained while the suspect is now the subject of a manhunt operation by responding police operatives.
