BAGUIO CITY – A motorcycle driver died after his vehicle collided with a sports utiliiy vehicle (SUV) coming from the opposite direction before being hurt by a passenger jeepney at Major Mane Road, Purok Sadjo, Loakan Proper, Thursday afternoon.
Senior Superintendent Ramil Saculles, City Director of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the fatality as Mel John Biscaya Bugnay.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was driving his motorcycle while traversing the said road when it overtook a jeepney that was in from of him.
While the victim’s motorcycle was on the other lane overtaking the jeepney, it collided head on with a SUV that came from the opposite direction before being hit by the jeepney that it overtook.
The victim sustained serious injuries as a result of the said incident and was rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment but he expired several hours later while being provided with the appropriate medical attention.
