BAGUIO CITY – Two people died after the shanty of their construction company was buried by a mudslide in the on-going construction site along Sandico St., Salud Mitra, here, Wednesday.
Police authorities identified the fatalities as Engr. Patrick Lachica, Project Engineer and Ms. Hanna Jean Aragon, HR Representative, both of FCLaranang Development and Construction Company.
Initial police investigation showed that the victims were inside the shanty of the construction company when the mudslide suddenly buried the same that caused their instantaneous death.
The victims were rescued after two hours of being trapped inside their buried shanty and were declared dead on the spot by responding emergency volunteers and attending physicians.
