CONNER, Apayao – Some 20 trainees from Conner joined the third batch of the Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) National Certificate II (NCII) course that started last, September 19, 2023 at Malama Conner Apayao.
Said skill is important in the province and many places elsewhere to provide much needed services for electrical safety and connections.
This 20-day course is offered by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and Apayao Training Center (ATC), with the funding and assistance coming from the Office of the Congresswoman Eleanor C. Bulut-Begtang through STEP.
Electrical installation and maintenance is the process of installing and maintaining electrical systems and equipment. It may include tasks such as installing wiring, repairing or replacing damaged equipment, and inspecting electrical systems for safety.
Students enrolled in the Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II course may be required to undergo a competency assessment before graduation. A National Certificate (NC II) will be issued to students who passed this assessment process.
The qualified graduates of Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II may find employment as a Building-Wiring Electrician, Residential/Commercial-Wiring Electrician, or Maintenance Electrician.
The aim of proper installation and maintenance is very important in both commercial and residential facilities. A faulty wiring that is not immediately given attention can result into a greater danger such as fire and electrocution.
ATC and TESDA are actively seeking individuals interested in courses such as Bread and Pastry Production NC II, Dressmaking NC II, Driving NC II, Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) NC II, Housekeeping NC II, and Trainers Methodology Course Level I.
