BAGUIO CITY- Forty three schools with a total of six hundred fifty nine participants coming from the different Elementary, High School, college and Universities flocked the YMCA here on September 26-27, 2015, for the two day tri-level selection of the 2015 YMCA Academic Olympics literary Musical Competition in coordination with the Department of Education (DepEd) Baguio City in preparation for the forth coming North Luzon YMCA’s Regional Academic Olympics scheduled on November 14-15, 2015 here in Baguio City.
Among the participating schools for College were; University of Baguio, University of the Philippines, Saint Louis University, Baguio Central University, Philippine Military Academy, Easter College Inc. and NIIT Baguio. The High School has seventeen schools in participation while the Elementary level had nineteen schools in participation namely; Berkeley School HS/Elem., BCNHS-Main, BCU-HS/Elem.school, Philippine Science High School, UBScience High School, UBHS, UBLES, PMSHS/Elem. The first placers in each event shall be representing the YMCA of Baguio, Inc., Baguio City and their respective schools in the fourth coming Regional Academic Olympics as scheduled for the selection of participants to the YMCA’s National Academic Olympics on December 5-6, 2015 at the YMCA of the Philippines representing the North Luzon Region.
