A 25-man delegation from San Antonio, Texas will be visiting the city on July 10-14, 2023 to formalize the memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the sisterhood ties between the two cities.
The visiting delegation will be headed by San Antonio City Mayor Ron Nirenberg and will be arriving in the city on July 10, 2023 for their 5-day visit.
Earlier, San Antonio and Baguio City officials initially entered into a friendship agreement as a requisite to the formalization of their sisterhood and twinning relationship.
The San Antonio delegation will be focusing their visits on business and military concerns, health and education and creatives and culture to look for avenues on how to establish the appropriate linkages to help in the advancement of these sectors and for the representatives of the cities to be able to learn the best practices worthy of emulation in their respective cities.
The city government is currently finalizing the preparations for the scheduled visit of the San Antonio delegation for the formalization of the sisterhood and twinning agreement.
The visiting delegation will be paying a courtesy call to city officials and will have a chance to visit vital military, health care and educational institutions such as the Philippine Military Academy, Saint Louis University, Aurora Hill mega health center, Baguio Senior Citizens Center, Pedagogical Development Center and the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center.
Further, the foreign visitors will also have a chance to visit the key tourist destinations in the city such as the Botanical Garden, Easter Weaving, Burnham Park, Baguio Dairy Farm and other creative and tourist destinations in other parts of the city.
