BANGUED, Abra – Three employees of the Bangued municipal government were arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents after having found in their possession suspected illegal drugs and assorted drug paraphernalia during their alleged pot session in the second floor of the public market here Thursday.
Abra police officials identified the arrested drug users as Danny Beljamin Babida, 40, married, security guard, resident of Zone 2, Bangued, Abra; Joseph Barbon Alagao, 42, married, janitor, resident of Sappaac, Bangued, Abra; and Jimmy Bisquerra Barreras, 42, married, security guard, drug surrenderee of Bangued MPS and resident of Zone 6, Bangued, Abra.
Initial police investigation showed the police operatives were conducting validation and surveillance operations against the suspects when they received information from their action agent on the reported pot session going on in the second floor of the public market.
A subsequent operation was undertaken that resulted to the arrest of the said individuals doing pot session that resulted to the confiscation of assorted illegal drugs and assorted drug paraphernalia that were scattered on the floor of the room.
The arrested individuals and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bangued Municipal Police Station for documentation awaiting the filing of the appropriate charges against them before the provincial prosecutor’s office.
