TUBA, Benguet July 27 – Four people, including the driver, were hurt after the closed van they were riding suffered mechanical trouble forcing the driver to lose control and subsequently plunged into a 40meter deep ravine along the scenic Kennon road, particularly at Twin Peaks here around 1:30 pm Monday.
Inspector Joyce Ann Dayag, public information officer of the Benguet Provincial Police Office- identified the wounded occupants of the closed van as Jessie Itchok Estoe, the driver and passengers namely, Arjay Zamora, Zebring Zamora and Ben Cabuang.
Initial police investigation showed the Mitsubishi Canter closed van bearing plat number ABH-175 was negotiating the various curves along Kennon Road when it sustained a mechanical trouble forcing the driver to lose control of the same that resulted to the vehicle falling into a 40meter deep ravine in the area.
Responding police operatives and rescuers from the On Call 911 immediately rushed the injured victims to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) where they are undergoing medical treatment for the various injuries they sustained as a result of the vehicular accident.
