CAMP BADO DANGWA – PROCOR operatives arrested six individuals on separate occasions in line of their anti-illegal gambling operations which also led to the confiscation of Php925.00 bet money and assorted gambling paraphernalia.
The first incident was reported by a concerned citizen to the La Trinidad Municipal Station in the afternoon of June 21, 2018. Follow-up operations resulted to the arrest of three individuals 27, 34, and 42 years old, all residents of Pico, La Trinidad, who were caught in the act playing illegal gambling game inside a coffee shop along Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet. Php430.00 in different denomination and 52 pieces playing cards were Confiscated during the operation.
The second incident involved one male and two females who were caught in the act of playing cards at Kayang Extension, Baguio City by personnel of Police Station 7, Baguio City Police Office in the afternoon of June 20, 2017. Confiscated during the operation were Php355.00 bet money, one [1] set of playing card, 3 monoblock chairs and improvised dice and cloth.
All arrested suspects and confiscated evidence are now under the custody of the operating units while appropriate charges were filed against them.
PROCOR Regional Director, Police Chief Superintendent Rolando Zambale Nana solicited the cooperation of the public to report all illegal gambling activities in their area and reminded all police officers not to indulge in any form of illegal gambling.
