The proactive anti-criminality efforts of the Police Regional Police Office Cordillera (PRO Cordillera) have yielded significant results, with the recent apprehension of 60 individuals, including seven Most Wanted Persons (MWPs), during the implementation of intensified manhunt operations from March 10 to 16, 2024.
Based on records from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD), the Baguio City Police Office (CPO) recorded the highest number of arrests with 29, followed by the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) with 12, Kalinga PPO with eight (8), Ifugao PPO with five (5), Abra PPO with three (3), Mountain Province PPO with two (2), and Apayao PPO with one (1).
Among the apprehended individuals, seven were identified as MWPs, highlighting the efficacy of the operation in targeting individuals listed as Top Most Wanted Personalities.
Moreover, PRO Cordillera’s proactive policing strategies have resulted in 58 municipalities reporting zero crime incidents for the entire week.
Zero crime incidents were recorded in the 24 municipalities in Abra, nine (9) in Ifugao, eight (8) in Mountain Province, six (6) each in Apayao and Kalinga, and five (5) in Benguet. Additionally, Nagulian Police Station 1 and Aurora Hill Police Station 6, among the ten police stations in Baguio City, also recorded zero crime incidents during the same period.
