A total of seventy-seven (77) youth from Butigue National High School have joined the three-day youth summit dubbed as “Moving the Youth towards Peace and Development” (MYPD) in Paracelis, Mt. Province from March 21 to April 2, 2022.
The MYPD was jointly organized by Sangguniang Kabataan of Brgy. Butigue and personnel of Mt. Province Police Provincial Office. It is a three-day leadership summit that aims to develop the young learners’ intrapersonal and interpersonal skills while understanding the important roles they play in nation-building.
Lectures on leadership, ecological waste management, adolescent life skills, substance abuse prevention, crime prevention tips, and the recruitment strategies of the communist terrorist groups were discussed with the participants.
Also, team-building activities and spiritual recollection were conducted to reinforce the learning during the summit.
