City officials recently commended and congratulated two graduates of the Catholic-run Saint Louis University (SLU) for placing 9th and 10 in the November 2023 nursing licensure examination with an average of 89.40 and 89.20 percent, respectively.
Earlier, Richelle Faith Dampil Cayabyab and Paula Angela Vinluan Estepa, both graduates of SLU College of Nursing, placed 9th and 10 in the 2023 November nursing licensure examination with a rating of 89.40 and 89.20 percent, respectively.
In a resolution authored by Councilor Arthur Alad-iw, local legislators stated that the achievements of the two topnotchers brought honor and pride to the city which is yet another testament that the city is the education center of the north.
The Professional Regulation Commission announced that some 25,761 out of the 32,203 examinees passed the Philippine nurses licensure examination given by the Board of Nursing in 19 testing centers around the archipelago last November 2023.
SLU is also one of the top nursing schools in the country that had an average of more than 99 percent passing rate of the examinees that took the said examination.
