Two loose firarms, a shotgun and a pistolized M79 were surrendered to Abra Police personnel on October 27, 2018.
The shotgun, unlicensed gauge 12 shotgun (paltik) without markings and ammunition, was surrendered by SB Member Nixon B. Belmes, 39 years old, married and a resident of Barangay Cal-lao, Villaviciosa, Abra on October 27, 2018 at about 9:30 AM after personnel of Villaviciosa Municipal Police Station conducted dialogue regarding the PNP’s intensified campaign against loose firearms.
The said firearm is now under the custody of Villaviciosa MPS for documentation.
On the other hand, Benjun Luis, project contractor, and a resident of Poblacion, Boliney, Abra voluntarily surrendered one unlicensed pistolized M79 without markings with fired ammunition stuck inside the barrel to personnel of Boliney MPS, also after the continuous pulong-pulong being undertaken by personnel of Boliney MPS in relation to the PNP’s intensified campaign against loose firearms.
The said firearm is now under the custody of Boliney MPS for documentation prior turn over to the Regional Crime Laboratory, Abra Field Office for IBIS.
