Apayao Province shone with three schools awarded as Best Implementing Schools during the Regional Awarding Ceremony of the Brigada Eskwela Hall of Fame, Best Implementing Schools, Second Place, Third Place and Finalists on November 21, 2018 at the NEAP-R, DepEd-CAR Compound, Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet.
For the elementary level, small school category, Flora East Central School of the Division of Apayao won as Best Implementer with Abra’s Luba Central School and Kalinga’s Liwan West Elementary School in second and third places, respectively.
In the medium elementary school category, Apayao’s Sta. Marcela Central School was hailed best implementer while Kalinga’s Pinukpuk Central School and Benguet’s Loo elementary School trailed close at second and third, respectively.
In the large elementary school level, Ifugao’s Lamut Central School made it to the Hall of Fame award while Baguio City’s Quezon Hill Elementary School and Benguet’s Lepanto Elementary School were judged as second and third placers.
For mega elementary school category, Baguio Central School and Benguet’s La Trinidad Central School were the Best Implementer and Second Placer.
Meanwhile, in the secondary level, small school category, Mt. Province’s Balaoa National High School was named Best Implementer; Baguio City’s Happy Hollow National High School was the second placer while Apayao’s Sipa-Imelda National High School was the Third Placer.
For medium secondary school category, Abra’s An-anaao Integrated was awarded as the Best Implementer with Benguet’s Ampusongan National High School (Main) and Baguio City’s Sto. Tomas National High School landing in second and third place, respectively.
Apayao’s Flora National High School won the Best Implementer award in the large high school category followed by Benguet’s Lepanto National High School in second place and Abra’s Cristina B. Gonzales Memorial National High School at third place.
Finally, in the mega high school category, Baguio City National High School was judged as the best implementer. Benguet’s Tublay School of Home Industries placed second and Tabuk City National High School placed third.
According to the Brigada Eskwela Manual, Brigada Eskwela “has become one of DepEd’s major initiatives in enjoining local communities to respond to the needs of public schools and be part of a nationwide effort towards improving Philippine basic education.”
