BAGUIO CITY – A 17-year old minor was arrested by combined police and anti-narcotics agents while his cohorts were able to elude arrest during an anti-illegal drugs operation within the vicinity of Burnham Park here Tuesday afternoon.
Senior Superintendent George Daskeo, officer-in-charge of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), described the arrested minor drug courier as a Grade 8 pupil of the Baguio Central University (BCU) and a resident of No. 9 Hanger Market, Baguio City.
Seized from the possession of the minor drug suspect were assorted dried marijuana leaves in cylindrical form and other illegal drug paraphernalia while his cohorts were able to elude arrest by the elements of the BCPO public safety company and the city anti-illegal drugs special operations task group.
The minor was subsequently turned over to the City Social Welfare and Development Office for the conduct of the appropriate intervention that will allow him to turn back from the conduct of the illegal drug trade in the city.
