TABUK CITY, Kalinga – With the unhampered movement of authorized persons outside their residence or APOR, Tabuk City Health Officer Dr. Henrietta Linden Bagayao is appealing to all concerned at the provincial control points to log their entry ‘for contact tracing purposes.’
“Masapol ada kuma records tayo kadagiti sumsumrek nga APOR ta baka kasapulan tayo for contact tracing just in case,” she said adding that based on reports most of those who are tested positive for COVID 19 are actually APORs like health personnel and law enforcers who are exposed to a lot of people being in the frontline.
In an interview, Bagayao also noted that workers coming to Tabuk from other places are no longer required to undergo quarantine since they should be unhampered upon entry.
“They only have to show their company or government ID and they will be allowed entry,” she said relating that most of those who live in nearby provinces are also commuting daily, or travelling in and out of the city since they are not residents here but they only come here to work.
These people she said are not being quarantined or are not undergoing rapid testing here.
“It is understood that their agency or company have conducted a health check on them before they are deployed to work here,” she informed.
She then appealed to APORs coming in to observe the basic health protocols of wearing face mask and social distancing while at the office or in their workplace, especially if they have to deal with clients from the locality.
Meanwhile, for Tabuk City residents arriving from other provinces, they are still required to undergo quarantine for the safety of their families.
Those coming from the red areas or places with positive COVID-19 cases showing no symptoms and with negative result in their rapid test will be sent to the barangay isolation units (BIUs). Symptomatic and those with positive results will be brought to the City Isolation Unit (CIUs) for the confirmatory swab test and proper monitoring.
While those coming from the white areas or places without COVID-19 Cases will not undergo rapid tests but will still undergo quarantine at home if they pass the criteria for home quarantine. Those showing symptoms will be brought to the CIUs and will undergo rapid test and confirmatory test if advised by a health officer.
