LUNA, Apayao – The Provincial Government of Apayao (PGA) dedicated an entire week to honoring its fatherly employees.
From June 26 to June 29, Father’s Week will be observed to recognize the significant role of fathers within the PGA and express gratitude for their contributions to both their families and the community.
The Father’s Week celebration, organized by the PGA’s Human Resource Management Division (HRMD), aimed to promote a healthy work-life balance and emphasize the importance of paternal involvement in raising children. The event held fun activities and memorable events designed to engage fathers and create a nurturing environment within the workplace.
The week-long festivities kicked off with a special recognition ceremony at Aliwa Gymnasium, where the Office of the Governor Chief of Staff Verlie Mae Baldovino and the Provincial Department Heads expressed their appreciation for the dedication and hard work of the fatherly employees.
Baldovino highlighted the importance of fatherhood in shaping the lives of children and commended the fathers for their dedication to their families while fulfilling their duties as public servants.
Throughout the week, various events organized by the PGA shall be conducted. One such event is the basketball tournament participated in by fatherly employees from PGA’s clustered departments.
The HRMD likewise organized a clean-up drive to be done around the PGA compound on the final day of the celebration.
The celebration aims to create an atmosphere of camaraderie, support, and appreciation among the fatherly employees. By recognizing the significance of fatherhood and promoting work-life balance, the PGA has taken a crucial step toward nurturing a positive and family-friendly work environment. By JC
