LUNA, Apayao – The Apayao PLGU and Apayao State College (ASC) are now working for the necessary preparations needed in the conduct of the 2024 Cordillera Administrative Region Association of State Universities and Colleges (CARASUC) Athletic Meet, slated to run from April 27 to May 2.
Present at the coordinating meeting were Governor Elias C. Bulut, Jr., Vice-Governor Remy N. Albano, Verlimae Baldovino, LLSO V, PGO Supervising Administrative Officer (SAO) Ma. Claire M. Palattao, and LEDIPO Head Philip Uba from the PGA, along with officials from ASC including Dr. Ronald O. Ocampo, VP for Academics, Research & Development and Extension Services, Marfred T. Sanchez, Jaylord Q. Guillermo, and Minerva Alvarez-Eslao from the Legal Office.
There are six (6) State Colleges and Universities (SUCs) from the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), namely Abra Institute of Science and Technology, Mt. Province State Polytechnic College, Ifugao State University, Benguet State University, Kalinga State University, and Apayao State College which will be participating in the event.
Governor Bulut during the meeting provided valuable insights to ensure the smooth organization of the competitions encompassing sports and socio-cultural activities.
The eagerly anticipated CARASUC brings together student-athletes from CAR state colleges to compete with integrity, safety, and a strong spirit of sportsmanship. The anticipated cost for hosting the CARASUC 2024 games, including funds for the college’s delegation, is approximately P4.8 million. By K. Castillo
